McLaren Bay Special Care is a 31-bed long-term acute care hospital located in Bay City, Michigan specializing in the care and treatment of patients with complex medical needs, including a ventilator weaning program, that require lengths of stay greater than 25 days. The experienced staff are highly trained and use a team approach to provide intensive, individualized treatment. The hospital is licensed by the Michigan Department of Community Health and is accredited by The Joint Commission.
Patients admitted to McLaren Bay Special Care are usually too ill to utilize other types of care, require a doctor’s care every day, or need rehabilitation at a slower pace. Long-term acute care hospitals (LTACHs), like McLaren Bay Special Care, offer intense medical interventions such as:
