    For the seventh consecutive year McLaren Flint and the Flint Firebirds Hockey Club partnered for “Hockey Fights Cancer” which took place on October 22, 2022. This year’s event raised $33,266. These funds will be used to support the community with many cancer-related services, including transportation to and from treatment, free 3D mammograms to help with early breast cancer diagnosis, education, access to oncology nurse navigators, and much more.     McLaren Flint is partnering with the Flint Firebirds Hockey Club for the 7th consecutive year for a cancer awareness event. “Hockey Fights Cancer” will take place on Saturday, October 22.     Genesee Health System (GHS) has awarded a mini-grant of $41,000 to McLaren Flint Foundation for their focus area of health and wellness for vulnerable populations. The grant goes towards McLaren Flint’s Healing through Art program, which is an art therapy program that provides methods of coping to those impacted by cancer.
