- The Joint Commission: The joint commission is one of the most recognized accreditation organizations.
- The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Hospital Compare was created through the efforts of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), in collaboration with organizations representing consumers, hospitals, doctors, employers, accrediting organizations, and other federal agencies. Hospital Compare has information about the quality of care at over 4,000 Medicare-certified hospitals across the country. You can use Hospital Compare to find hospitals and compare the quality of their care.
- Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA). The Michigan Health & Hospital Association is a statewide organization representing every community hospital in Michigan. The MHA is a nationally recognized leader on efforts that protect and promote quality, cost-effective and accessible healthcare and provides to assist consumers in making more informed healthcare decisions.
- U.S. News & World Report:The U.S. News Best Hospitals analysis includes multiple clinical specialties, procedures and conditions. Scores are based on a variety of patient outcome and care-related factors, such as patient safety and nurse staffing. Hospitals are ranked nationally in specialties like cancer and urology and regionally in states and major metro areas. U.S. News also assigns a rating to hospitals in a handful of common procedures and conditions, including knee replacement and congestive heart failure.
