Information for Applicants
Working at McLaren Flint as a resident or fellow offers experiences with state-of-the-art equipment and learning from a nationally recognized faculty and staff as a valued member of the health care team.
Most importantly, trainees are afforded the opportunity to provide care to a socioeconomically diverse patient population with exposure to unique pathology and opportunities to improve quality of care. Trainees are supported through a Resident/Fellow Council as well as a medical education team that promotes a safe learning environment.
Each program determines its own eligibility requirements, application processes, and interview structure as detailed within their program-specific information.
All residents and fellows matching into programs with a July 1st training start date must report to work up to six weekdays prior to July 1st for a mandatory, paid orientation. Those matching into other fellowship programs must report for orientation as directed by the program. In addition, all incoming residents and fellows must pass an in-person Employee Health visit before the first day of orientation.
